Circus in the clinic – rehabilitation aid
Increasingly, clinics are using circus education to enliven the hospital stay for their young and old patients, expand the therapeutic possibilities and thus contribute to rehabilitation.
Our wide range of workshops offer a colorful mix of movement, adventure, fun, courage and magic. Fears are reduced, boundaries are recognized and overcome and new perspectives for leisure activities are discovered. Discipline, body control, independence, self-confidence and stamina are promoted through daily practice in the community and can be transferred to the requirements of the patients’ everyday lives.
Accompanied by light effects and music, the patients inspire in their role as artists. Care staff, parents, relatives, friends and circus enthusiasts are overwhelmed by what has been practiced in such a short time. The applause greatly strengthens the patients’ self-confidence and encourages them to persevere.
